Child Exploitation, Grooming and Gaming - Tuesday 19th March 4pm-5.30pm

In this eye-opening course, we delve into the world of gaming as a social media platform and examine the risks associated with grooming and exploitation. From TikTok trends to streaming sites like Twitch and Discord, we'll explore how predators use these platforms to target young people and how to identify and prevent these dangers. Participants will learn how to navigate the digital landscape with confidence, protect themselves and others from online threats, and promote responsible gaming practices. Child Exploitation, Gender and Sexuality - Wednesday 20th March 4-5.30pm

This session delves into the complexities of supporting young people who may be experiencing exploitation and identify as LGBTQ+. It emphasizes the importance of avoiding assumptions about individuals' identities and challenges stereotypes and preconceptions that can be harmful in supporting young people. The course provides a deeper understanding of the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth and offers practical strategies for providing inclusive and affirming support. Through interactive activities and engaging discussions, participants will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to create a safe and supportive environment for all young people.
